We wrestle not against flesh & blood, but against principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Gag me with the "high capacity" language. If a young man lusts for fame, power, and money - I don't want him near the pastorate.
There’s a lot to it. I have article somewhere on it. But I’ll say a few things that apply here: 1. The pastorate has become increasingly low status and that especially impacts a middle to middle-upper class denom like the PCA. 2. Keller is dead. In terms of visibility, it’ll probably be a while before there is a NAPARC presbyterian like him again. No one to inspire guys to the join the PCA in mass. I see this as a good thing on the whole as most of those guys turned out to be weak compromisers. Still, that channel has dried up. 3. The level of credentials required are expensive and (feels) time-consuming to a lot of high capacity younger men. 4. The PCA has a damage reputation with lots of people but especially 20s/30s white men.

Looks like America hit a desalination plant in Iran. Yet another in-your-face war crime by the United States of America: ihl-databases.icrc.org/en/ih…
Asked if the US attacked a desalination plant in Iran, Pres. Trump says Iranians are "among the most evil people ever on earth." "They cut babies' heads off—they chop women in half..." "I know nothing about a desalinization plant, other than to say, if they're complaining about a desalinization plant, we complain about the fact they shouldn't be chopping babies' heads off." Trump envoy Steve Witkoff and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth can be seen nodding in agreement.

Because he died on his feet, doing his job, not hiding in an "undisclosed location." Americans aren't Christians anymore, so they don't appreciate martyrdom.
Replying to @AryJeay
So their heads are held high because their leader died? 😂 Can anyone explain that to me? The whole thought process?

From your sermon, @johnlovell275, I'm a little confused. Are Catholics "an ally" or "an enemy?" And in another video, you say that anyone who does not support the State of Israel is an "enemy of God." Are they "Satanic Double Agents" in the church? youtu.be/73IDtmNrcgA?si=mK7u…

Why do we do math in school? When I asked this question as a kid, my teachers always told me, “You’ll use it one day.” That’s almost always false. Most adults are never going to be in a sticky situation with two binomials, thinking, thank goodness I can FOIL my way out of this mess. Most of us get by just fine without ever solving for x again. And especially in an AI age, fewer and fewer people will “use math” in the narrow, practical sense. But the origins of math have never been primarily about utility. Math is formative. It trains the mind to love what is true, to recognize what is orderly, and to be drawn toward what is beautiful. It teaches us that the universe is not chaos, but something intelligible, something structured, something that can be known. And you can see that truth made visible in the world’s most breathtaking churches and cathedrals: arches, vaults, domes, proportions, symmetry, harmony, light—geometry turned into glory. The mathematics that shapes a cathedral is not cold or sterile. It’s the language of wonder, carved into stone. We don’t teach math because everyone will use it. We teach math because it forms the kind of person who can see that reality has meaning.

Kirk Cameron reveals he no longer believes in 'eternal conscious torment' for the wicked, which he suggests is "cruel and unusual punishment." Instead, he leans heavily towards annihilationism, saying: "It fits the character of God."

Meet 17-year-old Nikola Knight, a young man who gave his life to save his family and neighbors I want everyone to know his name When a house fire broke out in North Fort Myers on Nov 5th, Nikola didn’t freeze. He didn’t look for a way out. He ran straight into the flames to make sure his family and neighbors survived. He banged on doors, woke people up, and pulled them to safety. Because of him, people who would have died… are still alive today. But while he was helping, the fire caught onto him. He was rushed to the hospital… and despite everything the doctors tried — he passed away from his injuries. He didn’t spend his last moments thinking about himself. He spent them saving someone else’s life. That’s a kind of courage this world doesn’t see often. That’s love. That’s sacrifice. That’s a hero. Please keep his family close in your prayers. They didn’t just lose a son. They lost a light. Lord, we ask You to surround this family with Your comfort. Hold them through every wave of grief. Give them strength when they feel weak, and peace when the pain feels too heavy to carry. Let Nikola’s bravery live on in every heart he touched. Amen.

"To posit that all forms of polygamy are inherently evil is to accuse God of helping institute and regulate an evil system for the nation of Israel in the Old covenant. If polygamy is inherently evil today... you can accuse God of engaging in evil." #HebrewRootsNationalism
It is not inherently sinful for one image bearer to own another. Slavery as an institution is not inherently evil. That being said, man stealing is inherently sinful, and clearly condemned of the Law of God. Thus, any form of slavery that includes man stealing is evil. Why is this important? Because, to posit that all forms of slavery are inherently evil is to accuse God of helping institute and regulate an evil system for the nation of Israel in the Old covenant. God is the same yesterday today and tomorrow. If owning another person is inherently evil today, then it was inherently evil in ancient Israel, and thus you can accuse God of engaging in evil. I’m exceedingly happy that White Christians abolished slavery. I believe that it was gospel logic working its way out into cultural institutions that led to the abolition of slavery. In other words, I’m glad it’s gone. Good riddance. But we must never accuse God of engaging in evil. The word of God is the ultimate and final authority.
