Look, I understand his point of view. I was around when Tekken 5DR/6 players lambasted TTT2 for questionable design choices. And likewise, transitioning into Tekken 7. However, I also remember that the core competitive community for each of these games remained relatively consistent throughout their lifespans, and even experienced substantial growth with Tekken 7. Tekken 8 on the other hand, has seen a sharp decline in both casual and competitive engagement evident by the lack of enthusiastic sales reporting by namco, a string of resignations from core members of the leadership and development team and poor tournament entry numbers comparatively. Yes, people do frequently get blinded by their own nostalgia bias. However, it can also be true that Tekken 8 has deviated so far from the formula that are no longer meets the standards of what the core competitive audience would consider to be true Tekken.
“You’re carried in T8 and not in T6” shutup mfs dont care. Excuse some of us for not being elderly/trapped in nostalgia (and I’m a legacy player saying this). Let new tekken players enjoy their generation. Stop being old cranky boomers dawg we don’t care about your glory days.

You actually can just request a match with these guys. I've played many international players this way the worst they'll do is say no lol
You might actually be the biggest pussy in FGC history @PerfectLegend

Adding onto this, for Super Castlevania 4 alone it gets MUCH worse than this. How about falling bridges you have to jump through that's RNG for the most part? Or before the end in this clip, very precise climbing where if you mess up even a bit you fall to your death.

Did you know that Castlevania games don't start with Symphony of the Night ? A lot of Castlevania entries were focusing on tight platforming before Iga rpgvania versions. Belmon'ts Curse feels like a love letter to long time fans that enjoy the two styles of 2D Castlevania. (also if it's a skill issue you do have accessibility options to bruteforce platforming and keep going)

I don't know what people are talking about when they say this isn't Castlevania and this is coming from a die hard fan of the franchise. So many nods to the past games. Mind you this franchise has switched up styles more times than I can count. "Indievania" my ass.
Don't come to tell me "this isn't Castlevania" after this

Gonna do another video finally finishing a dread randomizer run...then there's that kaizo hack, but then there's Super Metroid X Fusion... Ugh, so many to do yet I'm still figuring out my YouTube format. I think I got a solid foundation going on though.

Is it really surprising though? They've proven since season 2s release that they're not taking any of that into consideration. They're gonna make the game they want to make whether the fanbase likes it or not lol
2 years of criticism about Heat mechanics and how oppressive the game is and they STILL deliver idiotic fucking lines like this
