This is my cousin. He was 47, the life of the party, a social butterfly and a genuinely kind guy. He died alone from Covid. If you needed a face to the virus, maybe this is it. Let’s get some perspective #sydneyprotest #SydneyLockdown #GetVaccinatedNow 💔

Annette and Sam are in furious agreement. She is off work sick. That’s what Sam says is happening and that’s what Annette’s story says is happening. No judgment. No trolling. No criticism. Just a fact. – at Sydney, New South Wales

Heartbreaking & devastating news that three US residents who were crew members operating a LAT in the Snowy Mountains region have lost their lives. Our thoughts & heartfelt condolences are with their families & the tight knit firefighting community.

And I reckon Australia - this amazing country with all its wealth, its hard-working, educated population, and its potentially catastrophic vulnerability to climate change - should be leading the way. It's cowardly & inaccurate to claim we are too small to have an impact. 9/10

The critical message here is that if you’re going give, give to audited, transparent funds run by community for community. Find them. Goggle is your friend. That’s what we’re doing in Cobargo. No politicians, no bureaucrats.

The response of the various government agencies and NGOs has been well intentioned but haphazard and confused. Huge sums are being donated but little is hitting the ground and none of it is transparent and accountable. There are many scams.
