This is what stopped communism, this is what founded Europe. Not power machinations, not appeals to the state. You are lost in the lies of tribalism and absented personal responsibility.

It's always puzzled me how anyone but an avowed Sadist would look to the Reign of Terror as imitable. Yet it's a constant trope, from Jacobin Magazine to cutesie little guillotines in playful memory of nuns lining up to have their heads chopped off in front of roaring crowds.

You don't know what I defend because you don't have any grasp of ideas or their history. Tocqueville's liberalism has nothing to do w/ the left. It's a primary fortress against it. It combats not the right but tyranny. Conflating the two is, again, a leftist narrative. "The right just wants authoritarian, identarian power!" Sound familiar? You heard it from the left all your life and your reaction is to go, "ha! yes I do! what's it to ya?" Not to say, "wait a second, maybe the left is lying to me?" It's a frame job. A con. That's Machiavelli, Hitler, and Kimberlé Crenshaw. It's not Aristotle, Aquinas, or Augustine. Maistre was a bitter reactionary of little impact. Citing him as the "true right" is to declare the West long dead (and to forget the responsibilities of the aristocracy and to reduce politics to power, as he did, as the left does). If that's your "right," then you've done as the left has asked you to and picked angry losers who built nothing.

I took a look at WW2/Korea wound reports. P1: A FMJ 7.7×58mm at 30 yards, no exit wound. P2: Same, 35 yards P3: Table, 70% of fatal wounds in Apr-Jul '52 were "penetrating" (no exit). P4: A FMJ .30-06 doesn't exit a leg @ 10-20 yards. Mystery over. archive.org/details/DTIC_ADA…

I've two good fortunes on this issue: 1. My sibling's family have found themselves within the verymost heart of this wave of younger Latin Mass attendees overflowing available facilities. 2. I have been closely following your diagnoses and mapping of our cultural issues for a decade. In three years of contact with that crowd in three different states, specifically and AGRESSIVELY looking for anti-Jewish sentiments (beginning about a year and a half ago), and convincing my brother/sister to do the same—since I find anti-Jewish sentiment among Christians to be the surest sign of cult thinking and grouping and the greatest risk to Christianity—I've come across only two cases among the young Catholic faithful: A. One was an Orthodox man in his mid 20s who ran in similar circles/had his kids attend the same conservative schooling co-ops as the more traditional Catholics. He fully doubted Holocaust figures and was well lost and culturally stockholmed by Islam. B. The second was a Catholic man convinced that the Jews of today had virtually no relation to the Jews of antiquity Judea. His argument was more academic and didn't touch on anything explicitly Hitlerian or even Luegerian, but still obviously counter to Church teachings and born of anti-Jewish sentiments outside of the Church. I am therefore relieved to have concluded via my own limited survey that as of now most of these surge members are best reflected not in the crusader roleplayers on X, but instead in the person one sees hosting "Pints with Aquinas" on YouTube. Instead, most of the people I know IRL who have been twisted in a Nazi manner are loosely agnostic and in the Joe Rogan follower/libertarian crowd. That's no great salve though; it's still a great tragedy to lose friends to this, and that crowd is at least as large as the young religious surge crowd. At least with Christian youths I can immunize them with doctrine and Western history. With libertarians, well, they're in a sink-drain of loving increasingly little about the West, and so arguing from that position, a position of western gratitude and realism, is of diminishing effectiveness. (My immunization tool of choice for young Christians is Roy Schoeman's book, I hand it out to whoever will take it in these communities so that they may fend off intrusions themselves:)

I expect, due to the circumstances of his turning himself in and the nature and beliefs of his victim, that he will not be executed. And we will be a nobler nation for having not dropped the guillotine—for being able to point to him as an example of mercy for the next 60 years. However, this would also set a troubling precedent for the consequences of political violence. Prison in 2025 is no paradise, but it's also hardly hell. We need to re-institute severe hard labor. Most of these killers are suicidal anyway. We can't have their consequences be death or isolation, that was their intent and lifestyle all along. The consequences need to be productive, purifying, and in every decent sense brutal, indefinite, hard labor. These twisted kids fear nothing more than work under authority.

The Atlantic was once a credible news outlet. One of their best pieces came out 99 years ago, written by "A Woman Resident in Russia". It describes the chaos that followed the Communists destroying the institution of marriage. Let's read about the Soviets ruining marriage🧵

There are four lights.
You two have fallen off so hard. I hope the checks are worth it. You have 0 credibility. Same goes for Jordan, who I previously admired. I even purchased 3 of his books and read them cover to cover, multiple times.

This passage and philosophical assertion are worthy of much consideration. Tolkien is making a critical, epistemological observation. “For I am Saruman the Wise, Saruman Ring-maker, Saruman of Many Colours!' I looked then and saw that his robes, which had seemed white, were not so, but were woven of all colours, and if he moved they shimmered and changed hue so that the eye was bewildered. I liked white better,' I said. White!' he sneered. 'It serves as a beginning. White cloth may be dyed. The white page can be overwritten; and the white light can be broken.' In which case it is no longer white,' said I. 'And he that breaks a thing to find out what it is has left the path of wisdom.' - Gandalf J.R.R. Tolkien (2012). “The Lord of the Rings: One Volume”, p.187, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt
