Sabai joined the Lava Tokenization Sandbox.
"What excites us most about the Lava Sandbox is the opportunity to bring together specialized partners around real, large-scale business cases. Tokenization requires much more than issuing a token β it requires legal structuring, technology, compliance, payments, investor infrastructure, and distribution. The Sandbox creates an environment where these capabilities can be combined into viable end-to-end solutions." - Sabai Team
@shiftrwa is also preparing a new line of vault products.
According to the team, demand is especially strong from institutional and B2B clients
If those products scale through Lava, that could translate into more real RPC usage
The partner spotlight was also interesting.
SHIFT, an RWA platform offering tokenized stocks, ETFs and bonds, said it moved from Helios to Lava
Why?
Pricing, reliability, and the flexibility of a decentralized provider model
The next major topic: Lavaβs chain architecture.
The community is preparing for a governance vote:
stay on the current Cosmos/custom SDK architecture - or move toward EVM
The outcome could have a meaningful impact on infrastructure and providers
August network activity:
β’ 45 active providers
β’ ~5.7B relays
β’ ~683B CU
β’ 56 supported chains
NEAR Mainnet accounted for ~20% of activity, while EVM chains still dominate in aggregate
Network economics are improving too:
β’ provider fees reached a new record
β’ revenue per CU more than doubled
β’ Gateway subscriptions grew ~3x
β’ target: ~$10K in subscription revenue by the end of September
The most important number for providers:
99% of provider fees are now covered by organic revenue
Foundation top-ups in August = $0
That means provider rewards are now funded almost entirely by real RPC customers rather than subsidies
Gateway V2 is already showing results:
β’ ~75% lower latency
β’ 104 signups in the first month
β’ 18 paid users
β’ better enforcement of free-tier limits and abuse prevention
The goal: convert more RPC traffic into paid usage
Lava wrapped up August - and the biggest story isnβt just Gateway V2
The network is increasingly moving from a subsidized model toward real revenue generated by paying users
Here are the key takeaways π

All endpoints moved to Lava Gateway.
Ethereum, Solana, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, NEAR and more now run through our new Gateway, powered by Lava's decentralized provider network.

Interesting direction for Lava
The key takeaway from Part 2: Lava is seriously considering moving from its own chain to becoming a smart-contract protocol on an EVM network.
That could mean less infrastructure overhead, simpler upgrades, and better integration with wallets, exchanges, and DeFi but also less control over the underlying network
The biggest unanswered question for me is what role $LAVA itself will play in the new architecture
A strong and honest post from Lava. But for $LAVA holders, the main question remains unanswered:
If the project stops operating its own blockchain, what essential role will the token continue to play?
The product may have real demand and the infrastructure may work extremely well, but that does not automatically translate into value accrual for the token.
Iβm waiting for clear details on staking, settlement, migration, and tokenomics

.@Bitbond runs Token Tool on Lava RPC.
This conversation covers why they chose decentralized infrastructure over centralized vendors, what it took to integrate, and where it's headed next, including custom builds like their NFT metadata and mint rate tracker.
