The 49ers just can't catch a break man, I've never seen injury luck like this in my life
Prayers to big Mike 🙏

Kyle Shanahan said WR De’Zhaun Stribling did not sustain an Achilles injury. Shanahan said they checked his Achilles and it’s intact. He'll undergo more evaluations.

Good news for George Kittle.
The 49ers waived TE Brayden Willis and promoted LS Jon Weeks to the active roster.

Now that Jacob Cowing is healthy, I think it's going to be difficult to keep him off this roster due to his comfortability fielding punts and kickoffs.

Matt Barrows on De'Zhaun Stribling and Jordan Watkins:
“There are two guys that get a lot of passes thrown their way. One is Stribling and the other is Jordan Watkins. The difference has been that Stribling has been able to haul in those tough passes across the middle. Where it’s a crowded territory and you got a safety or a cornerback draped across your back. There’s an arm in there and you gotta bring that ball in and Watkins hasn’t been able to. Stribling’s size and strength has stood out. Something that you don’t normally associate with a rookie. You always say 'In a couple of years in an NFL weight room and this guy will get a little bit stronger'. This guy knows how to use his body. He knows how to use his size and that’s why he gets a lot of targets in crowded areas.”

Adam Schefter on De'Zhaun Stribling:
“What’s interesting about this selection is there were some people that wondered if it was too early for De'Zhaun Stribling to go and yet there were a couple of teams that I spoke to leading up to the draft that felt like that De'Zhaun Stribling was the best wide receiver in the draft. Another team, supposedly the Los Angeles Rams had eyes on him as well. The 49ers didn’t just come up with this pick out of nowhere, they knew that there were other teams that had a very high grade on Stribling when the 49ers declined to trade out the top draft slot in the second round and take him there.”
