Thank you for your response, this will be a long read. No vex.
Jesus clearing the temple (John 2:13-16), curs:ing the fig tree (Mark 11:12-14, 20-21), or Old Testament accounts of judgment, show that Godβs character includes justice, holiness, and authority, not just love and mercy.Β
When Jesus drove out the money changers, it wasnβt random anger. The temple was meant to be a place of worship, but it had been turned into a marketplace, exploiting people spiritually and financially. His zeal was for restoring reverence for God (Psalm 69:9). The fig tree incident is often seen as symbolicβJesus was illustrating Israelβs spiritual barr:enness, not just lashing out at a plant. It points to the expectation of genuine faith producing fruit. It was for our learning not a random act of mad:ness.
The Old Testament stories, like the flood (Genesis 6-8) or the death of Uzzah (2 Samuel 6:6-7) for touching the Ark, can feel scary. But they reflect Godβs holiness and the seriousness of sin in a world that was often br:utal and rebellious. Uzzahβs de:ath, for instance, came after clear instructions about handling the Ark (Numbers 4:15), showing that even good intentions donβt override Godβs commands.
I didn't stereotype God, I shared a scripture to tell you that you can't claim to be under the influence/leading/direction/control of the Holy Spirit & be flogging & attac:king people like a wild animal. That spirit wouldn't hesitate in atta:cking even a day-old-baby.
Β The works of the flesh cannot be hidden, it's like a smoke. On a lighter note, this happened to someone I know, a full grown man claim to be in same possession as this little girl & flo:gged another full grown man with a broom, he collected the broom & flogged the demons out of him. His eye cleared instantly.
Youβre right that stereotyping God as only loving or only wrathful misses the mark. Scripture shows Heβs both perfectly just and perfectly merciful. So, what justice is this girl dishing out to the toddler & what mercy was shown? Or since you're equating her actions to that of God, has she now become God & dishing out judgement to people? If that were to be my child, she'll not allow herself to be used again after I touch her slightly.

Don't be lazy. Learn to read, it's the lack of it that has led us here as an electorate. I won't say much, so you can research.
I'll just kick it off for you by letting you know that the Lagos Blue Line Metro was envisioned by Jakande with millions invested before it was derailed by Buhari in the 1980s, costing the government about $73 million.
Decades later, Buhari commissioned its first phase in the 2023, same Buhari that killed the vision back then, whom your Glorified Tax Collector sold to us in 2014/15. This disregard for history, coupled with reliance on "dem say dem say" has cost us a lot. Learn from the past to avoid repeating it. Stop choosing "politicians" instead of "leaders".

Proverbs 7 [NIV]
Warning Against the Adulterous Woman
My son, keep my words
and store up my commands within you.
2 Keep my commands and you will live;
guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.
3 Bind them on your fingers;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Say to wisdom, βYou are my sister,β
and to insight, βYou are my relative.β
5 They will keep you from the adulterous woman,
from the wayward woman with her seductive words.
6 At the window of my house
I looked down through the lattice.
7 I saw among the simple,
I noticed among the young men,
a youth who had no sense.
8 He was going down the street near her corner,
walking along in the direction of her house
9 at twilight, as the day was fading,
as the dark of night set in.
10 Then out came a woman to meet him,
dressed like a prostitute and with crafty intent.
11 (She is unruly and defiant,
her feet never stay at home;
12 now in the street, now in the squares,
at every corner she lurks.)
13 She took hold of him and kissed him
and with a brazen face she said:
14 βToday I fulfilled my vows,
and I have food from my fellowship offering at home.
15 So I came out to meet you;
I looked for you and have found you!
16 I have covered my bed
with colored linens from Egypt.
17 I have perfumed my bed
with myrrh, aloes and cinnamon.
18 Come, letβs drink deeply of love till morning;
letβs enjoy ourselves with love!
19 My husband is not at home;
he has gone on a long journey.
20 He took his purse filled with money
and will not be home till full moon.β
21 With persuasive words she led him astray;
she seduced him with her smooth talk.
22 All at once he followed her
like an ox going to the slaughter,
like a deer[a] stepping into a noose[b]
23 till an arrow pierces his liver,
like a bird darting into a snare,
little knowing it will cost him his life.
24 Now then, my sons, listen to me;
pay attention to what I say.
25 Do not let your heart turn to her ways
or stray into her paths.
26 Many are the victims she has brought down;
her slain are a mighty throng.
27 Her house is a highway to the grave,
leading down to the chambers of death.

UPDATE:
Romans 6:14-16 [AMPC]
14Β For sin shall not [any longer] exert dominion over you, since now you are not under Law [as slaves], but under grace [as subjects of Godβs favor and mercy].
15Β What then [are we to conclude]? Shall we sin because we live not under Law but under Godβs favorΒ andΒ mercy? Certainly not!
16Β Do you not know that if you continually surrender yourselves to anyone to do his will, you are the slaves of him whom you obey, whether that be to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness (right doing and right standing with God)?

There is a difference between committing a sin and being a perpetual sinner. Nobody is permitted to make their sin their identity. You must strive daily to be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect.
It's a faulty generalisation to say "all of us", some people's conscience have been seared with hot iron when you sin (no matter how little you think it is), doesn't mean that's the same for everyone. When you have the holy spirit, you'd be convicted of even little sins and you will always repent from your sins rather than justify it.

β οΈWARNING:
Ladies, this is not ideal. There are many battles you can face in marriage, don't let fending off other women be part of it. Marry a man who fears the Lord, and that will reduce the "nonsense" you will have to deal with.
You save a soul by preaching to & disciplining, and not by marrying. Don't marry your "ministry". She might be lucky and hers ended "well" after needless battles. But, you might try it and get wounded for life.

Overpriced jargon. Not a single shade or landscape, no windbreak anywhere, all concrete.

You're right that it is more prevalent in one part of the world but you're wrong in where you think its prevalent.
-> Which of the "worlds" grabs people's lands and wipes out the natives?
-> Which part of the "worlds" invades other sovereign nations on the premise of a lie and raze them to the ground?
-> which of the "worlds" go to other continents to steal cultural heritages, gold, petroleum and other mineral resources?
->Which of the "worlds" colonizes or there nation and still reaping the benefits of imperialism and neo colonialism till date?
->Which of the "worlds" signs lopsided agreements with weaker nation and imposes social issues such as homosexuality and other things that does not align with their values on them?
->Which world has ever used a nuclear weapon of mass destruction on innocent people?
->Which world calls bribery "lobbying" and uses other fancy words to describe their own vices while calling other people's own evil names?
I know that will NOT sound like the height of corruption because it is being perpetrated by the WESTERN WORLD who can do no wrong..

It's amusing when people say things like:
"I'm done with Peter Obi because Obidients insulted me," or
"I'll never vote for Peter Obi because his supporters attacked me."
Guy!, if your support hinges on personal slights rather than firm convictions and principles/ideologies you strongly hold to be true, you're just a ship adrift without a rudder, swayed by every breeze.
Nobody rates such a man. It's good riddance to bad rubbish.
