v2.12.1 released. Mostly fixes for some cases and added Java 25/javac to the build matrix. As always, want to thank all for bug reports and PRs!

The release is called "12 Anniversary Edition". Yep, 12 years since late 2013/early 2014 when first pre-1.0 releases of Immutables were published. Now we have first-class record builders, improved nullable as type annotations (JSpecify), Jackson 3 integration 2/2+1
I want to thank you all contributors for all the bug reports, PRs, and feedback, that's enormous and helped project to catch up in 2025! Today we've released v2.12.0 , which is a minor update, but sort of concludes all updates, bug-fixes and refinements done this year. 1/2

And yes, @vavr_io and @ImmutablesOrg together is a match made in heaven. You can encode immutable objects and ADTs in Immutables and even pattern match on ADTs in Vavr. Typing even more along the way, making your code explicit.
One of those rare moments when left previous employer and have not started a new job yet, so enjoying dedicating some time to Immutables maintenance

just read some article, again, want to cry out: Lombok is not an annotation processor, it's a compiler plugin in annotation processor skin. It's not about using internal undocumented API, it's about modus operandi and JLS spec compliance. The lombok's tech itself is fascinating!

Sure, Lombok derives methods and implementation of the class from a just a small part of the implementation, the private fields. This is ill-designed. Implementation should be derived from abstract class (or interface) methods. This is what @ImmutablesOrg does.
Long awaited 2.6.0 is finally there! This is definitely not "blow you mind" release, but contains some important fixes and minor features (40+ tickets closed). Thank you for your patience, issues reported and PRs!
