Prayers for Sri Lanka 🇱🇰🙏 Cyclone Dit-wah is tearing through the island, unleashing deadly floods and landslides. Lives are being lost, families displaced, and communities shattered. May the triple gem protect my country!☸️ #SriLanka #Floods #ClimateCrisis

The tallest tree in Wales got damaged by a storm and was supposed to be cut down, instead chainsaw artist Simon O'Rourke found a better solution to symbolize the tree’s last attempt to reach the sky. #artnature #PlantATree

Our renewable future is created as we speak. The climate summit in Belem is ongoing. US abandons climate leadership and wishes to recreate the glory of our fossil fuel past. Europe is distracted. Good news is - China 🇨🇳 and many nations in the Global South are in the mean time just pushing ahead to the green future of humanity. At Guazhou, in Gansu province, China just commisioned the worlds first solar therminal plant with 27 000 mirrors. Each of the mirrors is computer-controlled to precisely follow the sun’s trajectory throughout the day. The concentrated sunlight heats molten salt stored in receivers at the top of the towers to temperatures exceeding 500°C. This allows the plant to continue producing electricity even after sunset — one of the biggest limitations of traditional solar farms. lnkd.in/dnDDnQhs

"The water is sacred. The air is sacred. Our DNA is made of the same DNA as the tree. The tree breathes what we exhale. When the tree exhales we need what the tree exhales, so we have a common destiny with the tree… We are all from the Earth.."🍃 #ClimateAction #SDG #Nature

Portugal's recent accomplishment of powering the nation solely with wind, hydro, and solar energy for six consecutive days is an incredible milestone in their commitment to renewables and a step toward net-zero carbon emissions by 2050❗️ #NetZero #RenewableEnergy #Portugal

This hellish-looking thing is real, and you've actually seen it before:This is what an ant looks like up close. Photographer Eugenijus Kavaliauskas won a prize at the 2022 Nikon Small World Photomicrography Competition for this closeup that was magnified 5times under a microscope.

Both tanks in the photo contain water from the same source. Then what's the DIFFERENCE ? A single oyster can filter as much as 50 gallons of water per day. 🦪💙 This is the nature's wisdom 💫
