“If we believe we can change things, we can. Everyone told me it would be hard to do high-quality research in my home country of Brazil. I saw an opportunity to help people in lower-income countries. My lab now has 37 students.”

What an honor it was to receive this award, and to meet her Majesty, Queen Silvia of Sweden! If you haven't noticed, there is some really exciting Alzheimer's work being done here in Sweden. It feels amazing to be a part of it!!

🚨🚨Our new paper is now available in @alzdemjournals where @Pamlukasewicz showed that plasma p-tau231 and p-tau217 are associated with early Aβ deposition in CU, but in CI, these plasma measurements are more closely associated with tau tangles PET.
