EXCLUSIVE: Casey Affleck’s third directorial feature, ‘Company,’ is a Gothic-infused mystery across three different timelines that click into collective place only in the film’s final moments. Among its stars are Atticus and Indiana, Affleck’s sons, and Caylee Cowan, Affleck’s girlfriend of more than five years. Additionally, both of Casey’s parents appear in the movie — and it is dedicated to them, as they both died recently, after production but before its completion. ‘Company,’ which is set to premiere next week at the Venice Film Festival, also features Ben Mendelsohn, Nick Nolte, Adelaide Clemens, Scoot McNairy and Emily Alyn Lind. The script was written over six years with Ron Hansen, with whom Affleck has remained close since starring in the 2007 adaptation of Hansen’s novel ‘The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.’ Read THR’s exclusive deep dive into the film: bit.ly/4xtMwA4
