The problem with buidling... is at some point you have to go all in...and if the sands shift...you find your bets become a sinkhole you cannot free yourself from. Many crypto projects see this happen to their competitors...and then their own projects. The cycles are faster here. The alternative isn't much brighter. Stay nimble and light footed without building deep foundations... except then its not obvious what the citadel represents. Currently there are three pillars that CT rally around. 1. The Art Hardly... it used to 'the thing' now its a retrenchment and reinforcement of the things chosen 5+ years ago. 2. The Founder-led Project DAO's that get a group of people together to make decisions and do stuff or buy stuff. @nounsdao was the most famous of these until half the hodlers exited. 3. The Sh&t Coins These are the digital seasoning on a packet of chips of the day... they go in and out of fashion faster than a Paris Hilton bob cut. No need for conviction, just play the waxing and waning of the tide with the moon. @RobinhoodApp Chain has potential here. 4. The Marketplace More have closed than open in the last 500 days. We lost some good ones... we lost some not so good ones...and some new heros like @TransientLabs emerged. 5. The Stock-Backed Coins These have potential. They're part of the whole reason for DeFi ...except now they're legitimised (bar voting rights, board seats...which will eventually show up). Welcome to the globalisation of US stockmarkets. A shelter for capital from more shaky nation states. @OGDfarmer is a big proponent of these. 6. The Artist Project (wif AI) Artists have a lot of potential to deploy whatever they can dream...thanks to AI freeing them from dev cost and hassle... few have been deployed yet. Artist Projects enabled by AI do things impossible previously. A few: @ROBNESSOFFICIAL built a Jackson Pollock Generative Art Project that was a joy to experiment with...and included minting as part of the output. @lphaCentauriKid Argonauts frontend has all the hallmarks of an AI generated site, although the art was kept entirely non AI. A few of my own Artist Projects (AP's) I built PixelArcade.art and four crypto native games with Claude's assistance...and then wired in @yungwknd for the smart contract part. The TAO 🧧 metric for @thelinegallery artists was introduced with the assistance of Claude. The MintFace Studio is another AI enabled example mintface.art/studio We need 100s more of these Artist Projects...because they really do create a 'wow' moment for those who engage with them.
