To be clear about what this depicts: An immigration officer threw a woman onto the ground. Alex Pretti, a registered nurse on scene as a legal observer, is filming and goes to help the woman up. He is then pepper sprayed and thrown to the ground for no discernible reason. Many officer surround and assault him; one removes his firearm, which police say appears to have been legally registered. They then execute him with a hail of bullets.
They are, objectively speaking, both cowards and criminals, while Pretti is what we teach people an American ought to be.

Here’s what happens next. When supply of “perfect” content goes to infinity, demand will shift to the opposite
(Sidenote: I use "perfect" not as a quality statement, but more that you can use AI to "perfectly generate" something kind of shitty but exactly what a specific person wants to see that would otherwise be cost-prohibitive or impossible to create)
Audiences will start craving the shaky, the awkward, the too‑specific
Stuff that is "worse" but hits harder because it’s real
Zach’s camcorder vlog is the early signal, grainy, odd, completely human
It'll be higher prestige to make media that clearly signals a human being was behind it
We'll start seeing humans exploiting "generation gaps" in AI media, stuff that would be weirdly difficult to achieve via pure generative media - odd colors, transitions, etc.
When AI can do anything, the rarest quality will be someone choosing to do it anyway

One of the reasons why it's bad to have someone with Narcissistic Personality Disorder as your leader is that they are literally incapable of (1) admitting they don't know something, and (2) interpreting object-level feedback/constructive criticism as anything other than direct attacks.
It may sound weird and outlandish, but I guarantee you that currently nobody in the Whitehouse is capable of explaining the nature and effect of tariffs on the economy because it would entail that the narcissistic leader doesn't understand something quite basic about economics. That social network is literally _incapable_ of having object-level conversations about that topic without them being interpred as a political attack. Anybody that raises object-level objections to policy is purged. Evaporative cooling ensures that the entire engine of decision making has an office IQ of 80 or less. It's not high dimensional Chess.

There are two polarities of selfhood, the limited ego anxiously identified with the perishing body and the timeless self, identified with the immortal Spirit. The purpose of life is to find one's spiritual self and unite with the divine infinite source of existence.
The personality we exhibit is caught in the net of our own delusions while God alone is real and dwells within unseen as we pass through the masks of time. Our ageless spirit is temporarily locked in an aging ever-changing physiology. As the heart beats, millions of cells are being born and are dying every second in our physical body, yet we retain our sense of moment to moment “I Am-ness." What is the nature of our mind and presence of being that allows us to experience Selfhood, a miraculous cognitive achievement of human evolution, a personal identity with unique character and perspective? As long as we identify with the body/mind in samsara we will suffer until finding the center of pure awareness, the eternal presence temporarily alive as us.
