Nobody actually needs a personal AI assistant. The average screen time in the US is 7 hours/day. people have plenty of time. There's no evidence that freeing up more will lead to anything but more tiktok scrolling If anything daily life needs more offline friction

My daughter has been asking to go to McDonalds (never been). I explained to her that we would need to go to Japan because all the McDonalds near us is nearly inedible. She burst into tears. Turns out the details of fast food supply chains are lost on 5 year olds.
