Tommy, who worked as Josh Hawley’s ops director, is the son of Bobby Jindal’s longtime COS, Tim Teepell, who is listed as the principal for Breakthrough LLC. This month, Jindal’s dark money group paid $250,000 to Breakthrough LLC, for influencer marketing opposing Abdul El-Sayed.
This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.

Just thinking for a second how incendiary the rage from the right would be if they found out that Biden had spent money intended provide memorials for officers killed in the line of duty on running ads about how great he was doing in office. Trump does it, they're silent.
Breaking news: The Trump administration is airing campaign-style TV ads using money Congress approved for border security upgrades, efforts to combat drug trafficking and memorials for officers killed in the line of duty, according to records. wapo.st/4dJh3lC

We did this. Our tax dollars paid for this.
For more than two months, I have been working on a truly horrific story about one of the gravest war crimes committed by the United States since Vietnam: The bombing of the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab, Iran. It was one of the first targets struck in the opening hours of the war on February 28, 2026. At least 156 people were killed in the U.S. cruise missile strikes—120 of them were children and 26 were teachers. We spoke to survivors, first responders, parents, doctors, teachers, psychologists, and other witnesses. Some of them had never before shared their experiences of that day. It would be impossible to do justice to what happened in Minab that day with words alone. In more than 25 years in journalism and reporting on war, I do not believe I have reported on a more heinous single crime. Massacre at Minab: The School That Became a Grave dropsitenews.com/p/minab-sch… Please share this story with as many people as you can.

NEW: The US military was prepared to board a Chinese vessel in the Middle East earlier this spring -- during war with Iran -- after an intel report concluded it was transporting components of a nuclear weapons program. But just before the planned operation, officials discovered the report had been generated w/ help of AI & chatbot used by the analyst inaccurately identified what the ship was carrying, sources tell @KatieBoLillis & me.

The one element of private equity that feels under discussed is its almost always a race to see how much money can be stolen before the market corrects. You have a product people love and trust (Jersey Mike) and you exploit the love for it. People will eventually revolt but not before someone gets rich. The lie outpaces the discovery (hey the product is shit, used to love this) just fast enough. The brand gets wrecked, and the vampire squid moves on to its next host. Intentionally enshitifying things people love might as well be financial cancer.
Wendy's and Jersey Mike's have gotten worse — and @stavvybaby knows why: "It's getting s***tier because some d***head who's never f***ing spread mayo in his life decided, 'Oh no, actually, instead of a sandwich, this is now a commodity.'"

El-Sayed: You propose a program, and very serious people will look at you and say, “How are you going to pay for that?” You know what they never ask a general who wants to send your tax dollars abroad or go to war in a place like Iran? “General, how are you going to pay for that?” I think it is time for our U.S. Senate and everybody in a position of power to be asking that general, “How are you going to pay for that in an America where too few people get the healthcare they need and deserve?”
