Ernesto “Che” Guevara was executed on October 9, 1967.
Born to privilege in Argentina he would become a doctor, mercenary and Marxist revolutionary before meeting his end in a mud schoolhouse in the village of La Higuera, Bolivia on October 9th 1967.
A man whose name has become synonymous with insurgency and revolution, his legacy lives on over a half century after his death, his image emblazoned on t-shirts and hats for sale in Venice Beach and on posters and flags that adorn dorm rooms at universities across the United States. Those who hold him up as an icon would be wise to study their history before donning a “Che” shirt or tacking a “Che” poster to the wall.
His theories on insurgency and revolution captured in his book, GUERRILLA WARFARE, along with his tactical and strategic successes and failures, offer lessons to students of politics and warfare.
For more on Che Guevara, read HUNTING CHE by Kevin Maurer and Mitch Weiss, and SHADOW WARRIOR by Felix Rodriguez and John Weisman.

José Ramírez is one of the best players of his generation. Not a lot of guys who can take a 100-mph top-rail fastball out of the yard. Guardians are ahead in a must-win game, 3-2.

With his team's back against the wall, José Ramírez continues to deliver in the biggest of moments for the @CleGuardians!
He's now slashing .302/.367/.528 over his last 13 games 👀

Happy Birthday to my brother and teacher, the greatest physical comedian (Triopenin) since Buster Keaton. His founding work at SNL and his Christmas Vacation movie triumph (snow saucer ride) are examples of his induplicable skills as an actor.
Chevy supported my work at SNL in the face of competing voices. We had to hold our faces in this fixed position for several takes. Maybe Landis was torturing us. Have a great birthday week. @ChevyChaseToGo

There’s something about meeting an old soul that time can’t erase. You sit, you listen, and suddenly the years disappear. Some people remind you where you came from—and why the journey still matters. ✝️❤️

RIP to the legend, Da Coach, Mike Ditka. Got to work with and become very close to him while we are at The NFL Today on CBS together in 2000 and 2001. I learned soooo much from him, about generosity, about life. This man was such a great friend to be around and knock around NYC together pretty much every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Without a doubt the absolute time of my life! Soooo many hilarious stories. Like I said, learned SO much about life from him and I’m forever grateful! Love ya Coach #ditka

Da Coach is gone. The Ditka family announced his passing this morning, shared by Jarrett Payton. He was 86.
MIKE DITKA. 1939–2026. RIP.
They called him Iron Mike. Chicago called him Da Coach. Football called him the man who turned the tight end from a blocker into a weapon.
Aliquippa kid. Pitt. Fifth overall in 1961. First tight end in the Hall of Fame. Caught everything they threw at him, then coached like the game still owed him something.
Player on the 1963 Bears championship. Player on the Cowboys’ Super Bowl VI team. Assistant on Super Bowl XII. Head coach of the 1985 Bears who ran the table and buried New England 46–10 in Super Bowl XX.
The only man who stood in both of Chicago’s last two titles, once in the huddle, once on the sideline with a cigar and no overcoat in a wind chill that would have sent anyone else inside.
Mustache. Sunglasses. Sweater. The stare. The Shuffle. Grabowski. He punched a locker, came back from a heart attack in 11 days, and never apologized for being exactly who he was.
The ’85 Bears were loud. Ditka was the reason they believed they were supposed to be.
Rest easy, Coach. Chicago won’t be the same. 🐻⬇️
Prayers for Diana and the family.

🚨 AWESOME! MLB Legend Roger Clemens just walked out in a USA hat at the Trump rally and DROPPED this line
"GET OUT AND VOTE."
"Don't forget, this man put his LIFE ON THE LINE for us. Don't EVER forget that." 🔥
"A man that loves our country, that puts all of us first, and puts AMERICA FIRST!"
"He made us better, stronger...he's made us SAFER."
Trump took a bullet for us, WE CAN VOTE IN NOVEMBER FOR HIM.
He's working harder than ANYONE in politics right now, and has done so for over a DECADE
