Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Japan did not formally declare a state of emergency in cyberspace. The phrase originated from a ruling party official at an LDP meeting; government agencies issued cybersecurity warnings and basic security advisories to companies amid breaches at 20+ firms.

Breaking 🚨;
☠️ A hacker group announced at 3:00 AM: "We have locked all Starlink ground stations worldwide. Pay $500 million in Bitcoin, or the world goes offline!"
🚀 Elon Musk replied at 3:01 AM: "Check your firmware. While you were writing that ransom note, Neural-Auto-Patch released a micro-update that routed your entire operation through a dead-end satellite in deep orbit. Thanks for testing our hotfix."

META seems the AI underdog but dont count Zuck out!
🚨GOOGLE CAPS META'S GEMINI USE SPARKING $30B COMPUTE DEAL
Google reportedly limited Meta's access to its Gemini models after the company requested more AI compute than available, delaying many internal AI projects and forcing Meta to ration AI token usage, per FT.
The restrictions pushed Meta to secure GPU capacity elsewhere, leading to a $30 BILLION infrastructure deal with Nebius.
MICA is not only a burden. Best Blockchain startups are fleeing Europe. Only the average, local, politicised companies will remain at the expenses of consumers (less competition) and of the entire Blockchain ecosystem. shame!
🎥WATCH: TETHER CEO EXPLAINS WHY $184B USDT DID NOT APPLY FOR MICA
Paolo Ardoino said Tether did not apply for MiCA license because “it is very dangerous when it comes to stablecoins.”
He said the rules could force issuers to park 60% of reserves in “uninsured cash deposits” at small European banks unable to handle redemptions.
"I think it's a very not well thought legislation," Ardoino said, adding he "skipped MiCA to protect the 400 million plus users” of Tether.
that is a quantum leap for traditional old fashion Credit Agricole
⚡️EUROPEAN BANK PUTS THE EURO ON ETHEREUM
On the day MiCA came fully into force, Crédit Agricole launched EURXT, a MiCA-compliant euro stablecoin on Ethereum.
The EURXT is issued by CACEIS, Crédit Agricole’s securities services arm, which holds about €4.6 TRILLION in assets under custody.
20 million EURXT are in circulation, backed 1:1 by euro reserves on CACEIS Bank’s balance sheet.
hard to believe...
USDC handled nearly $30T in onchain transactions, representing 80% of all dollar stablecoin transactions on blockchains. USDT handled the remaining 20% of transactions @paoloardoino @jerallaire
Strategy has become unnecessarily aggressive, and the risk profile has increased dramatically. Personally, I wouldn't buy its STRC preferred shares. ft.com/content/7d55be67-7f51…
I started my first internet company in 1999.
Since then I've built 6 companies, invested in 100+ startups and spent most of the last 10 years focused on crypto.
This account is where I share what I'm learning about:
• Crypto
• Startups
• Capital allocation
• Mistakes
Hopefully some of it will be useful.
totally true
This is the part people underestimate.
AI lowers the cost of starting.
But it raises the bar for taste, speed, distribution, and judgment.
The opportunity is not that anyone can build.
It is that serious builders can run more experiments per week than small teams used to.

solana moving in the right direction
Important signal.
The real unlock is not “AI agents can pay.”
It is programmable spending with rules:
- limits
- governance
- trust
- settlement across cards and stablecoins
Agent payments are moving from crypto idea to payments infrastructure.
