A cornerstone of Ford’s modern rally legacy, V6 FMC (chassis Number: WF0BXXBZABYZ29383) is among the most celebrated Focus RS WRCs ever built. Campaigned by Carlos Sainz/Luis Moya and later Colin McRae/Nicky Grist, this works car delivered Ford’s outright victory at the 2000 Rally of Cyprus and earned its place in WRC folklore with McRae’s defiant charge to ninth through the snowbanks of the 2001 Swedish Rally. Originally conceived under the codename C170, the Focus WRC was a technical leap beyond the Escort, featuring a stiffer shell and a turbocharged Zetec E 16V engine that transformed it into a nimble, durable contender. McRae’s arrival at Ford in 1999 brought the car—and the Martini-liveried brand—to global prominence. V6 FMC’s 2000 season included podiums in Catalunya (3rd) and the Acropolis (2nd) before its Cyprus triumph. Its competitive career continued into 2001 and beyond, later campaigned successfully by Paolo Andreucci and then Valter Jensen, who retained the car for nearly 25 years.
