We signed a strategic partnership between @DubaiCulture & @expocitydubai that supports Dubai’s cultural vision and aims to expand avenues of collaboration between our entities. Together, we will deliver innovative initiatives and experiences that reflect Dubai’s leadership, strengthens its cultural presence on the global stage, and enriches its creative landscape.

This partnership begins with the creative elements of the ICOM Dubai 2025 opening event and the “Pocket Forest” project at Terra in Expo City Dubai, a lasting legacy of ICOM Dubai that embodies its values and principles of sustainability. It will continue to pave the way for further initiatives and projects that reflect our commitment to shaping a more conscious and sustainable cultural future.

We’re very enthusiastic about this collaboration and welcoming the global museum community to Dubai. We wish to organise a spectacular opening that reflects the spirit of the emirate as a beacon of culture and creativity that never ceases to inspire the world.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, we're set to host ICOM Dubai 2025 in just a few weeks, the 27th General Conference of the International Council of Museums, the world’s largest gathering of museum professionals, for the first time in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, under the theme: 'The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities'.

The conference will convene a selection of leading international experts to envision the future of museums, and will emphasise their pivotal role as spaces that reshape consciousness, embody our cultural identity, foster dialogue between peoples and generations, and contribute to building a more inclusive and humanistic cultural future.
