The JNU VC must resign. There must be a thorough investigation into ALL faculty recruitments under her (as well as the previous VC Mamidala) & appointments cancelled if foul play found.
There must also be action taken against those complicit in the process, incl at the centre, school & admin level.
Anything less than that would be a disgrace to the idea of a good public uni.
'Stalled promotions mean stalled research capacity. UGC rules cap doctoral supervision at four, six, and eight students for assistant, associate, and full professors respectively.'
