So proud of @TaliaBarrington for writing this piece with @TheAtlantic about how climate change and social media are pushing winter sports enthusiasts to new heights, with sometime disastrous results.
I… was just published in @theatlantic ! Thank you to my amazing editor @rachgutman and the whole team!
“You may be doing something that’s a low-risk sport”—ice-skating, snowshoeing, and the like—“but the consequences are very high…”

And now we have the whole tour! Those of you attending the Brunico show will have a special treat. Can you guess what it will be?
Heads up Italy! I’m excited to announce that I will be going on tour with @IceShow_Italy next month. The first show in Brunico will be extra special; you won’t want to miss it 😉 🇮🇹
Yuzuru Hanyu’s ‘Ice Story’ appearing on Disney+ feels, to me, like the start of an era where a well-produced, live-to-tape skating exhibition can be picked up by a streaming platform and delivered to new audiences. Who’s with me on this?

A thread: Glimpse into a new project with Olympic medalists @MadiHubbell & @GabriellaPks, working together to show that the sport of ice dance has room for partnerships of any gender.
Part 1, Opening Sequence, set to “Why Try to Change Me Now” by Fiona Apple.
My brilliant wife @TaliaBarrington just wrote this for @Slate. So excited for people to learn about what may be next for this sport and the athletes behind it. Also great to hear the voices of @MadiHubbell, @kaitlynonice, @GabriellaPks, and @ScottMoir 🙌 ❄️
HUGEST thanks to these incredible people. This was team work, and I’m so grateful for such a killer team! Onwards!

I made a GIF of the final approach of @NASA’s DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test) mission, just before it impacted the moon of a near-earth asteroid at 17 times the speed of sound. Video sped up 118x (and looped, obviously).
