Sagal isn't in the same Party as me but I welcome her to the House of Commons and stand with her against the vile, sexist, racist and Islamophobic abuse she's been receiving in recent weeks. @Sagal_AW

Disgust of Trump Reaches New Levels in Europe A gilded statue of Donald Trump titled "Orange Plague," also known as "King of Injustice," is on display this week inside the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Danish artist Jens Galschiøt was invited to show the work by Danish MEP Per Clausen. The copper sculpture, covered in 23-karat gold leaf and standing about 2.6 meters (8.5 feet), depicts a naked Trump seated on the shoulders of a much smaller, clothed man. He holds the scales of justice in one hand and a golf club in the other, beside a golf ball shaped like the Earth. The plinth reads: "I am sitting on the back of a man. He is sinking under my burden. I will do anything to help him. Except stepping down from his back." Galschiøt says the piece was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's "The Emperor's New Clothes," the story of a vain ruler whose subjects are too afraid to tell him he is naked. "Trump represents one of the greatest threats to the rules-based world order, democratic values, and our common effort to solve the climate crisis," he said. "We must address this issue and stand together against such destructive influence."

Anti-immigrant protesters have been directing abuse at Britain’s leading blindness charity, the RNIB, accusing it of helping small boat migrants. They mixed it up with the RNLI. Reminiscent of the time in 2000 when a mob daubed ‘paedo’ on the office of a paediatrician in Wales.

I don't need £5 million gifts. But if you enjoy what I do, you can bung me a trio of affordable croissants (£3) or a Ferrari at ko-fi.com/countbinface. I'll do a separate crowdfunder for political campaigns, but l've reopened this just for little old me. Much luv, CB x

We are grateful to everyone who has shared a kind message about my dad, particularly the leaders of the other parties. My family and I have been helped though this difficult time by people’s warmth and compassion. It means a great deal to us and we wanted to say thank you.

I’ll be posting this video every time anyone from Reform UK claims they care about the safety of women and girls. This is exactly what happened at the Reform conference, and it’s here as a record.

Earlier today, I was privileged to be able to watch the Vera Ravine hovercraft returning to Southend RNLI after an exercise. All faces of the crew have been blurred as a precaution for obvious reasons. SUPPORT THE RNLI - rebrand.ly/imvl9mb

In 1981 eight unimaginably brave souls put to sea in murderous conditions because a call went out. They sought neither reward nor praise. They were @RNLI and they were the best of their community. Support your local lifeboat

I’ve had some complaints / feedback due to posting too much about the RNLI, and so I have made a very difficult decision. After a great deal of consideration, it is with a great deal of regret that I have decided to carry on posting about them regardless because The Flying Farage Appeal is now at almost £370,000 and it’s my account so if you don’t like it you can just f**k off. It's fair to say that @SadiqKhan is probably the single most maligned man in British politics, and I think we all know why. He is Muslim. The extraordinary level of hatred directed at him, including from people like Donald Trump and Elon Musk, has nothing to do with his actual record and everything to do with the fact that attacking a Muslim mayor of London fits perfectly into their wider rhetoric. Khan has never attempted to push Islam on anyone. There is no Sharia law operating in London. The idea that London has somehow fallen under Islamic control is complete bullshit. Meanwhile, his actual record is remarkably strong. ULEZ was an incredibly brave and often unpopular political decision, but it has dramatically reduced harmful air pollution and is improving the health of Londoners from babies to the elderly. Homicide and violent crimes have fallen significantly under this tenure. Council house building has reached levels not seen since the 1970s. The Elizabeth line opened under his administration and has transformed transport across London. None of this means London doesn’t have huge problems, particularly affordability, but pretending Khan has presided over some collapsing dystopia simply isn’t supported by reality. One policy that particularly matters to me is universal free school meals for London’s state primary school children. I received free school meals myself, and they made a huge difference to my life. For periods of my childhood, it was probably the only decent meal I had each day. Today, 270,000 children benefit from knowing that at least five days a week they are going to get a proper meal. Khan’s tenure hasn’t been flawless. No political tenure ever is. Things get better, things get worse and politicians should absolutely be criticised when they get things wrong. But the sheer hatred and vilification directed at this man bears absolutely no relationship to his actual record. He has taken years of abuse, including attacks from some of the most powerful people in the world, kept his resolve and carried on doing the job. He deserves far more credit than he gets.
