Big update for September, courtesy of @HockeyBangers and just in time for drafts!
Lots of words today. A couple more notes that I missed:
Kent Johnson - 3-game goal streak, averaging 3 SOG/GP
Trevor Connelly - PP1 on 5-FWD Vegas unit, leads rookies with 4 G and 7 PTS

Not the kind of news you want to wake up to if rostering Shesterkin. Dylan Garand has already been scooped up in all my leagues, but maybe he's available in yours.
Igor Shesterkin #NYR
Shesterkin (lower body) will be out for the remainder of the 2026-27 season, according to Tom Gulitti of NHL.com on Saturday.

I can concur. My teenage son told me that kids at his school would much rather talk NBA than NHL. His main friend group are fairweather hockey fans at best.
Meanwhile, hockey is gone from the CBC. It is becoming one of many sports here instead of Canada's national game.
There's going to be a long-term domino affect here.
We don't see it now. But we will.
Ask your teacher friend what their students are excitedly talking about between soccer, NBA, NFL or NHL. I'm not hearing a lot of "NHL" answers. And now that nobody wants to pay a thousand dollars and consult a few sources to find the right service for their game, their kids aren't going to get to see it, let alone get "hooked".
Yes NHL, you made $11B from Sportsnet. But it delivered a devastating blow to Canada's long-term hockey outlook and future interest. Hockey is Canada's sport - but will we say that in 20 years?
I'm sure you're having trouble hearing this message with that rainfall of hundred-dollar bills falling all around you.

Hearing lots from the broadcast about Bouchard's hat trick/5 points and rightfully so. They may not mention Podkolzin's full stat line, which is 2 G, 7 SOG, and 5 HIT against his former team. Must-add in bangers leagues. #Oilers
Cuylle, Perreault, DeBrusk, Barbashev and more as potential waiver-wire adds for the first week of fantasy hockey
