Care homes are STILL being asked to take transfers in from hospitals without a negative COVID test!! What is going on with the NHS and local public health departments? #Scandal @LBC @NickFerrariLBC
It's a massive scandal that everyone is focused on the price of wallpaper and not this human rights care home entrapment. My Mum has walked into the final stages of the darkness of dementia alone over the last 12 months. @LBC @NickFerrariLBC

Just asked a @bbcollege student to not walk on the flower beds in the town centre and got the usual mouthful of cheek, abuse and disrespect.

When we still have situations where a husband goes to visit his wife in a care home for the first time since August and he is faced with this, I don't care what the government say, they are killing more than they are saving! @JuliaHB1 #LovedOnesArePrisoners
This is the response from Care Quality Commission @JuliaHB1 - So residents have no rights. Care homes can block visits and DoPH can block visits.
Why is one family member any more of a risk than an agency care worker who is moving between several care homes a week!

After hearing the heartfelt plea to be together from Joe on @talkRADIO @JuliaHB1, I though I would share my experience:
I finally got to visit my dear Mum in her care home for the 1st time since Mar 2020. She has severe dementia. It was a day of mixed emotions. Excitement....
Now, there is nothing left, she can't see me, she did not once respond to me, she didn't chat, she didn't recognise her music, her final spark has been extinguished in the last 12 months. I love my Mum and will be there for her until the very end, but...
I will never forgive

She walked into that darkness alone.
Is this still going on? Told to me by someone from a local care home: "We now have to go onto a website and bid for new residents. It's like a meat market."
