It ended perfectly. So grateful to @AMC for letting us go to the end of the war. So grateful to you the fans for helping us get there.

From @nml423: I recall you said you were ready when it ended due to the burden of playing Washington - the melancholy, the temperment, etc. I wonder if now looking back, does you wish there had been a 5th season? #TurnAIA

#TurnAIA Are you still considering running for a political office?

I’m not.

Hi Ian! Thanks so much for doing this. I have so many questions that I don’t know where to start. But let’s be honest, the only question that matters is this: when are you running for President? #TURNAIA #TURNfam

Thank you Lis. Yes. My time as Washington has inspired my work now in the Political world. I hope everyone will get a chance to give the show a listen. @GuardiansOTR is the handle on Twitter for the show.

You've started a really great weekly political podcast with @PollsterPatrick. Was that always an ambition or did your time on #TURNamc inspire the decision to do that? #TurnAIA

Yes, but there were SO MANY of those moments. If we remember how lucky we are to even have a country at all... we would be wise.

@TurnLand @IanKahn As we all now, Washington took the impossible with so little resources and ultimately garnered a victory do you think taking Trenton from the Hessians was a key turning point to maintaining faith and the course?#TurnAIA

There is a moment in my very first scene, that if you know it’s there is pretty clear. I walk in sit down, look at Seth and say my first line. In that second as I’m sitting I thought to myself “here we go”. You can actually see a little smile if you look. I was lucky and knew it.

#TurnAIA I’m sure #TURNFam will agree that your portrayal of Gen. Washington will be the standard by which all others will be compared. When did you realize you were part of something very special?

An imperfect man of greatness. That was what I came to believe about General Washington. He was a man of his time. He was a great and humble leader. He was a man who owned other human beings. Imperfect.

What in your opinion were Washington’s greatest strengths and weaknesses? #TurnAIA

As a US History lover, I loved the show @TurnAMC! I just recently finished another run through the show, and love @IanKahn's portrayal of GW. For fellow fans (@TURNFans) and history/government teachers alike, check out his podcast- podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

Actor @IanKahn most recently portrayed Washington in @AMC_TV's TURN: Washington's Spies. Read his interview on how he became the General: bit.ly/2U51ee7 and tell us: If they made a movie about George Washington today, who do you think should portray him? #Oscars

It’s really about being a kind person. It’s about giving to others generously. About thinking of the other and most importantly others ahead of self. That’s greatness. Togetherness as a nation. That is us at our strongest.

Happy Independence Day to us all. 242 years ago a great experiment began. May our Democratic Republic last and thrive for the next 242 years and beyond. General Washington would wish it.

So much gratitude to the men and women who gave their lives for our freedoms. I imagine Gen. Washington would raise a glass to the warriors and their families for their service and sacrifice. The United States. An experiment. To be protected from tyranny. That's how it all began.

Happy Birthday General George Washington. Your imperfect greatness would be a great comfort in these troubled times for our country. Send some prayers/wisdom down. We need some help to keep the Republic you fought so courageously to bring us. Grateful always.
