Could feel it in the 2nd that blowing a bases loaded 1 out situation would come back to haunt us.
But that’s ok. Dodgers will even the series tomorrow and bring it back home for 3.

Amazing work from our MA team getting this historic piece of legislation to the Governor’s desk and signed!
Historic moment with the signing of AB2222. This wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of @ChrisWardCA @BuffyWicks @jerrymcnerney and the 2/3rds of the legislature whose support we needed to pass this bill. Thank you to @CAgovernor for recognizing the significance of signing this legislation at a time when the loss of local independent newsrooms is threatening government oversight and accountability, leaving communities without critical reporting.
The force behind this whole movement is the amazing team behind @Rebuild_News under the leadership of @stevenwaldman. We’ve had many major partners like @sagaftra and newsrooms and broadcasters from across the country all supporting this effort. Thank you to all of them.
I look forward to other states following CA’s leadership!

"This is a big deal," said @GovPressOffice signing the historic Community NEWS Act: tax credits to news orgs to hire & retain local journalists. Most significant law to revive local news. Content-neutral, nonpartisan, digital, print, b'cast, forprofit & non, old & new. THANK YOU.

Film and television production is a proven catalyst for economic development, regional tourism, and job creation.
And in order for the U.S. to maintain its standing as a leader in the film and television production industry and spur more American jobs, we need a federal film tax incentive.
We have a bipartisan, bicameral bill to do just that, and I'll be pushing for Congress to pass it.
This is a no brainer. It protects the integrity of our civic institutions and protects the credibility of the industry.
If only Trump could have shown the same kind of leadership as @GavinNewsom on ethics, we could have passed CLARITY.

Local journalism is vital to ensuring diverse sources of news content.
That’s why I’m supporting Assemblymember Ward & Assemblymember Wick’s #AB2222 offering tax incentives to local news outlets that hire qualifying journalists in CA.
Every community deserves access to quality local news.
More details still to come, but great work by my friend and former colleague @AGRobBonta
Protecting the integrity of our news media, jobs here in CA and this highly important industry for our state is a major win.
BREAKING
Paramount has reached a settlement with California and other states, paving the way for the media conglomerate, run by David Ellison, to close its acquisition of Warner Bros Discovery before it has to start paying ticking fees to shareholders.

Big scoop from @ChaseDiFelice and @JeremyBWhite: Newsom says he wants to take further action on AI safety before leaving office, including raising the possibility of a special session subscriber.politicopro.com/a…
Why won’t republicans agree to this? Is it because Trump won’t?
If so, Dems aren’t killing CLARITY, Trump is. Reps shouldn’t be protecting him on this either.
The goal of regulating AI shouldn’t be to shut out competition.
It’s to make companies legally responsible for being irresponsible.
CA needs to call a special session on AI and lead the nation by working collaboratively with each of these companies to develop landmark regulatory protections.
Washington isn’t going to save us, so states must.
So suddenly OpenAI, Anthropic, XAI, and their leaders all suddenly about face and agree to slow the pace of AI development all on the same weekend….
Delaying IPOs and having OpenAI say they would “melt their GPUs to save humanity it it came to it”
Something bad happened…
There is no world in which everyone, including Elon, suddenly started to be worried about this on the same weekend.
There was also a rumor that this week Google cracked recursive AI, which I doubt would trigger this reaction.
Clearly an agent went rogue in a dangerous and malicious way, and it was something severe enough to spook everyone.
Hard to believe this is a well orchestrated campaign blitz from “the left” as an attempt by dems pave the way to regulate AI when all these guys are are calling for government intervention or slowing frontier AI development themselves.
