My home internet went down today for a few seconds, right in the middle of a @Theta_Network EdgeCloud GPU deployment. But it looks to me like the exact same job picked right back up once the internet came back online!

IMO this is the clearest signal yet that GPUs are now too out of reach for most people.
The original @Theta_Network Edge Node network (the one many of us are still running, separate from EdgeCloud) is still limited to basically just video encoding and blender 3D jobs. With hardware costs exploding, it feels like now is the PERFECT time to go back to basics and unlock as many general/basic computing tasks as possible for those old ENs.
That would motivate more people to dig 10 year old hardware out of basements & attics, give ENs more than two types of jobs, and make it realistic for a lot more community devs to actually build more products on the network.
EdgeCloud is great, but please don’t leave the grassroots EdgeNodes behind. More job types mean more participation, which means a stronger network.
