Bill O’Reilly asked Tom Homan if he wanted to clarify anything about the $50,000 bribe in front of a live audience.

A business owner says all his people get paid lunches and he doesn't time them. Cousin in town, rough morning, take the extra hour. His point is that the same person who takes a long lunch Friday eats at their desk next week, and if you count every minute they take, you'd better count every minute they give back.
Everybody has worked for the stopwatch guy, or knows someone who has. He counts your 31st minute and never notices the Saturday you came in. You end up doing exactly what's required and nothing more, because why would you.
Now, this only works if you hire grown-ups. He even says it: abuse the freedom and he deals with that person, not the whole company. That's the part a lot of managers skip.
Same rule at our house. Show you can handle a little freedom and you get more. Trust gets earned in both directions.
Pay people to do the job, not to watch the clock.
