Shared by @rudol9h Emergency Burial Appeal for Derek Joseph (Yusuf) Coker - Please help give our brother, a dignified Islamic burial. Inna lillaahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un – “We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.” Derek Yusuf Coker was 76 years old, Nigerian British, born and raised in the UK. Around 40 years ago, he was guided to Islam through the kindness and da’wah of older family members and close friends, who supported him on his journey and helped him embrace the faith. Derek lived a quiet life and remained connected to those who helped him find Islam. Sadly, his wife had already passed away. His son, who regularly checked on him, went to visit one evening and found that his father had passed away peacefully in his bed. The loss has been deeply painful for his son, who is now facing the emotional weight of losing his last remaining parent while also struggling to cover the cost of his father’s burial. Due to limited means, he is unable to afford the full cost of a dignified Islamic burial without support.
