This month we brought Voices Unheard to the Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi.
The film follows four people living with psychosis in India and Pakistan, in their own words. It is about recovery, community, and belonging, and about what changes
and theatre sat in the same room and spoke to each other.
Voices Unheard was produced through the @PiecesResearch programme, led by @QMUL with @IRDGlobal, Schizophrenia Research Foundation (SCARF) India, and People's Palace Projects, and funded by the @NIHRresearch

Breastfeeding begins early, but the need for support continues.
For mothers in remote villages, questions around feeding, milk supply, newborn weight gain, fever, dehydration, or infection may come up after they have already left a health facility, and help may not be close.
The World Health Organization notes that most newborn deaths happen in the first week of life, making timely postnatal care essential.
Through postnatal counselling and Mobile Health Vans, IRD helps bring guidance closer to mothers and newborns who may otherwise be missed.

Breastfeeding support is not a one-time message.
For many mothers, continuing to breastfeed depends on what happens after birth: whether someone checks in, answers questions, identifies feeding challenges early, and helps them know when to seek care.
This World Breastfeeding Week, IRD highlights breastfeeding support as part of a larger maternal and newborn care pathway, one that includes awareness, antenatal and postnatal counselling, follow-up, and community-based support.
