Our game Puzzling Places is coming to Steam on April 9th. It will give you hours of flow and relaxtion. If that's your kind of thing share and give it a review on launch day, because it will help with the algorithmn. store.steampowered.com/app/3…
I will be @theindiagdc next week, speaking about using local open source models plus Blender to make asset pipelines for game dev!

why would i ever use linnux when windows 11 shows me the kung fu panda whenever i try to use powershell
Around me, I see a lot of people in tech and entertainment feeling a bit down and lost. AI plays a role, but its a general sense of hopelessness and lack of some positive vision of future to strive for. I am wondering if my sample is biased, or if its a bigger general trend.
its crazy how far local generation models have gotten. This one is using only open source local models, made on a consumer GPU. Chain together a couple of open source stuff like XAtlas and retopo library, and you get a pretty ok model fully local
I was looking at this today too. Turns out investors dont care much for cars that backflip or go up a wall or accelerate so fast that the driver would pass out. That said, 100 percent prefer whatever Tesla did for a concept car compared to whatever other companies are doing
Looking at peoples 9 games, I think most people just want to be teenagers again. I realized there are so many amazing games I have played over the years, but nothing beats the late nights in counter strike, or that first vespa in vice city.
And here the winter version of The magic school demo scene I made on my @Sketchfab
The scene was almost fully made with geometry nodes. All the buildings, landscape and natural elements etc. skfb.ly/pOr68

Walkabout mini golf is one of my favourite games of all time, and chatting with its creator Lucas is always fun! In this dev chat we talked about the game, its development and Lucas' background.
🎥 Our latest Devchat is out now! ⛳🧩 Go behind the scenes of our Gardens of Babylon collaboration with @WalkaboutMG and see how we brought the course to life in Puzzling Places! 🌿⛲

While I am at wrapping up, I have a couple of scenes I worked on over the weeks, time to upload them to my Sketchfab. Here the lost relic skfb.ly/pNURT
Here the animation, the walls, staris, ground, fish, sea grass are all geometry nodes. Also the distribution of reefs, and coins xitter.cf/IRCSS/status/209362378…

Time to wrap this one up. I put it on my sketchfab for whoever wants to view it. I remeshed the scene here and cleaned up here and there. Set the texture quality to HD for highest resolution. skfb.ly/pNURQ
One of the reasons why after programing for years in C++ I don't feel comfortable in C# like before. Somehow, by "taking care of" memory it leads to me having to think more about memory in C#. Keeping implicit language rules in mind, whereas in C/C++ its just explicit
how bad can astras output be? Why is there a hidden cat and a bench in a platform? All of these are easy to fix and productivity wise still worth it but man fixing these are no fun at all. It sucks as a task. If this is the future of game dev, I might look for a different job 😅
some asked what are the problems astra has, since the video is so zoomed out, you cant see it but here is an example. The little fish sign is hanging from nothing. Also a table that small wont have a sign that big. The location is full of these little things that need fixing
