IQ Weekly Snapshot | Oct. Week 4 📸
A surprising AI safety test, an Ethereum testnet timeline update, and nearly 100K storefronts preparing for AI agents.
Three tech stories worth a closer look this week! 👇
New research with @coingecko 🚨
Memecoins and tokenized stocks are crossing paths on Robinhood Chain ✅
Through @ponsdotfamily, creators can launch new tokens using assets linked to stocks like Nvidia as their trading reserves.
We explored the activity and what it could mean for onchain markets 👇🧵
> First, how does Pons work?
When creators launch a token, they choose an asset people can trade it against.
> That could be $ETH, a stablecoin, or a tokenized stock.
> As people buy the new token, the reserve grows. If it reaches its target, trading moves to Uniswap.
> And here's where Stock Tokens come in...
> Instead of only being held or traded directly, these stock-linked assets can now serve as reserves for entirely new crypto markets.
> For example, a token linked to Nvidia stock can be used as the trading reserve for a newly launched memecoin.
> And the activity has been substantial 🔥
> Between August 3 & September 3, 2026, Pons V2 recorded:
📊 207,893 token launches
💰 $736M in trading during the launch phase
🔄 At least $2.14B in trading after successful launches moved to Uniswap
Source: @Bitquery_io
> Creators are also exploring different reserve options...
> Of those 207,893 launches, 73,896 used alternatives to $ETH and dollar stablecoins, including tokenized stocks, commodities, and $WBTC.
> Together, these launches generated $232M in trading volume.
> Some examples are already emerging:
🔹 ORBIO launched using an Nvidia-linked Stock Token as its reserve.
🔹 Longbow ($BOW) launched using a token linked to SPY, an S&P 500 ETF.
Both graduated to Uniswap, showing how stock-linked assets can be used in new crypto markets.
> There's still a lot to learn, though...
> Only 1.55% of Pons V2 launches graduated to @Uniswap during the study period.
Whether these markets can sustain trading activity and liquidity over time remains to be seen.

Replying to @coingecko
@coingecko's deep dive on @ponsdotfamily ends on the right question: what stays useful after launch week?
207,893 tokens launched in the first 32 days of Pons V2.
Only 3,228 graduated to Uniswap.
But graduation measures whether a market fills. It doesn't tell you whether anyone keeps building.
That's the layer HEY tracks.
Of the Pons launches we currently track, 34 are still shipping through public releases, contract deployments and code activity.
Not a ranking. Not a recommendation.
Just evidence of who kept building after the launch rush.
CoinGecko suggests looking at which markets still trade after 7 and 30 days.
We'd add one more column:
Is the team still shipping?
Durable liquidity + durable building tells a much more interesting story than launch numbers alone.
Great research by @IQWIKI with data from @Bitquery_io.

It was great speaking at @ethconf on the global importance of a Korean won 🇰🇷 stablecoin.
How the won is the 2nd most traded fiat currency and how @KrwqCash can bring it onchain.
The success of KRWQ is open to anyone, with ethereum:0x579cea1889991f68acc35ff5c3dd0621ff29b0c9 as its value accrual token.
Korean Won liquidity is concentrated on centralized exchanges. What would it take to bring it into DeFi?
@KrwqCash co-founder @NavV96 made the case for a won stablecoin and 24/7 onchain FX during Ethereum Stablecoin Summit at @money2020.
