NEW paper highlights how Most Favored Nation (MFN) pricing will hurt American innovation and, with it, patients in need. A model of an MFN-style price-setting policy found it would have resulted in 167 to 342 fewer new approved drugs over an 18-year timeframe. Learn more about why MFN ultimately fails patients awaiting the next treatment or cure: cato.org/regulation/summer-2…

Trying to reduce drug prices through #MFN simply imports foreign price manipulation and its consequences: long wait times, rationed care, less $$ for R&D. @AAF @taxreformer @NTU @CFEconomy @SayNo2SocialMed @GovWaste @IPI @AFPhq

Looking at State Department documents, it appears the department went from 57,340 total employees in 2007 to 72,895 in 2015 to 80,214 in 2024. So it grew by nearly 23,000 employees before the 'devastating' cut of 1,300.

You can believe (as I do) three things: 1. Donald Trump shouldn't be president. 2. Donald Trump *is* the duly elected president, and must be allowed to exercise the powers of the office. Nobody has legitimate federal executive power to work against him. 3. The courts and Congress have a constitutional duty to keep Trump within the lines of executive power - by acting within the lines of their own powers.

Trump’s real genius was convincing his base that incompetence is strategy. If he fails, it’s 4D chess. If he lies, it’s bait. If he loses, it’s rigged. He built a worldview where nothing is his fault—and questioning him is betrayal.

This isn't "too clever by half." It's Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, which puts "Taxes, Duties, Imposts, and Excises" in the same sentence, treats them identically under the law, and unequivocally hands the power over them to Congress. xitter.cf/KurtSchlichter/status/…
“A tariff is a tax” is a two clever by half formulation that ignores the fact that a tariff is not tax. It’s a tariff.
