Under the banner of IOOA, IndianOil officers across India stood united in mourning and solidarity. Officers observed silence, candle marches and wore black badges to express their deep grief and strongly condemn the heinous murder of our colleague, Shri Mahesh Shelke, who lost his life while performing his official duty at Hingoli, Maharashtra. His tragic death has deeply shaken the entire officer fraternity. Officers of oil marketing companies provide essential services to the nation, and their safety while discharging official duties must be given the highest priority. IOOA urges the Government of India and concerned authorities to take necessary and effective steps to ensure the safety and security of oil marketing officers across the country and prevent such tragic incidents from recurring. Strict action under the law against those responsible is essential. We mourn. We remember. We stand united.

IOOA deeply shocked and outraged by the tragic incident involving IOCL officer Shri Mahesh Shelke Annarao, Manager, Nanded, Maharashtra, who lost his life while performing his official duties. Violence against an officer of a public sector organisation is absolutely unacceptable. IOOA strongly urge MoPNG, IOCL Management and the Government of Maharashtra to ensure a swift, impartial and time-bound investigation and arrest of the perpetrators within 24 hours, subject to due process of law. The bereaved family must receive immediate support, and the safety and security of all officers serving the nation must be ensured. There must be zero tolerance for violence against oil company officers performing their duty. IOOA met with the Secretary, PESB, regarding the early scheduling of interviews for the vacant positions of Director (R&D) and Director (Pipelines) at IndianOil. The interactive meeting witnessed highly fruitful and informative discussions.@IndianOilcl @Secretary_MoPNG

IOOA met with the Secretary, DPE, to discuss the early constitution of 4th Pay Revision Committee (4th PRC) for CPSEs. During meeting, IOOA discussed important aspects of pay revision and officers’ expectations. The Secretary assured an early and positive outcome on the 4th PRC.

Collectives from various Oil PSU, including GAIL, ONGC, OIL, HPCL, BPCL, and Indian Oil, convened in Kolkata on 12th June 2026. Hosted by the IOOA, the meeting's primary agenda was to discuss the 4th PRC (Pay Revision Committee)and consolidate efforts to advance their demands.
