Happening Now | MU-JHU at INTEREST 2025 We’re proud to share that four MU-JHU researchers are currently representing Uganda at INTEREST 2025, taking place from 13–16 May 2025 in Windhoek, Namibia. The conference, held under the theme “Advancing HIV Research & Treatment in Africa,” is bringing together leading minds in HIV science to share innovations, foster collaboration, and drive progress across the continent. MU-JHU Poster Presentations: * Dr. Sheila Bamweyana presenting on optimizing cord blood collection—strategies and outcomes from the HPTN084 Pregnancy Infant Substudy at a non-hospital based research site. * Dr. Catherine Nakaye sharing findings on the feasibility and acceptability of training community drug shop staff to deliver oral PrEP refills to female sex workers in Kampala, Uganda. * Dr. Ronnie Kasirye presenting on infections in older Ugandan adults living with HIV in routine care. Their work is contributing to vital conversations around HIV prevention, care, and treatment in Africa.
