I did not expect to go down a Notre Dame schedule rabbit hole yesterday, but a friend who is a ND supporter had reached out wondering what ND SOS might be since Marcus Freeman took over. I couldn't generate that for them, but I did dig this up for them...

The devil lives in Mississippi.
Curtis Flowers, a Black man from Mississippi who was tried six times for the same crime by the same prosecutor before ultimately being wrongfully convicted, has died. He was 56.
Attorney Rob McDuff previously called Flowers' case "unprecedented in the history of the American legal system." cbsn.ws/4jOdVsq

Dabo Swinney on Miami:
"Those guys are going to score 24 to 35 on everybody they play. I don't care who they play, all the way if they go to the national championship, they're going to score 24 to 35 points on everybody, and they scored 31 on our defense, and I think if we had been able to help offensively and convert on those opportunities, we might not have won the game, but I think the complexity of it would have been very different."

Prediction for Saturday:
Clemson’s D-Line shuts miami’s run game down. Secondary limits Toney to 1-2 big plays. They can’t get anything else going
Tait feeds off a strong run game and grows up in front of us, getting 50+ rush yards of his own and limiting turnovers on his way to 3 TDs (1 rushing)
24-17 tigers

“Bad weather benefits Clemson more than Miami.”
“Plus we’re used to our games affected by rain.”
I guess Miami is called the Hurricanes because South Florida is famous for its deserts.

I just looked it up... it has never happened.
Virginia Tech-Pitt will be the first matchup in the history of modern college football to feature two unranked, 4-0 major conference teams.
It has only happened three times in ANY Division I game ever.
#Hokies vs Pitt will be the only power conference matchup this season between 4-0 teams with both being unranked. I wonder when the last time that happened

Darian Mensah tonight before being pulled in the 3rd quarter against Central Michigan:
23-for-27, 338 yards, 3 TDs
He's the first FBS passer in the last 30 years to have more touchdown passes (14) than incompletions (12) through his first four games, per @CBSSports research.
