The visit took place as part of the Foundations for Solidarity project funded by the Government of Canada/@CanadaDev.

A recent visit by @IMPACTtransform to the region helped document this landscape. The visit was carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Mines, Petroleum and Energy, alongside local authorities and artisanal mining cooperatives already working to formalize their activities.

In Bounkani and Hambol, Côte d’Ivoire, #ASM communities operate in an environment where microfinance institutions, local banks, village savings and loan associations coexist. These mechanisms provide a practical foundation for strengthening financial inclusion in the sector.
