Players: If you have the option or ability to play beyond high school, I'd highly consider it. Not just for the athletic experience but, more importantly, the doors it can open for you in life! A thread 🧵

You’re either teaching your body to throw faster or slower. Think of all the nonchalant and less than crisp throws you’ve made in your life. Those nonchalant and lazy throws compound to form bad habits over time. Don’t give them a chance to be created in the first place.

Exactly! If the left fielder bobbles the ball or the throw scoots away a bit, the runner gets to second.

THIS is how you take a turn around first base when the outfield has to range for the ball. (Especially to LF when you have a great angle to see the incoming throw.) If you aren't trying to put pressure on the defense on this type of batted ball, why are you even playing???

Outfielders: Don't coast to ball. Every ball in air, even if runners aren't on, GET BEHIND THE BALL. Get used to hustling behind ball & gaining momentum before catch to help throw. 1st step always back & catch ball over throwing shoulder for quicker transfer. Good OF = Good team!
