From the recently concluded #RCF2024ASIA in Bangkok, we co-hosted a session with Foundation for Ecological Security
Here are the key advocacy points,
🌱 Land and territorial rights are key #indigenouspeoples and LCs to achieving KMGBF. The voice of these communities is a non-negotiable in any negotiation, processes, and proceedings around KMGBF.
👩🌾 IUCN should have strong IP voices processes.
🌿We are moving from fortress conversation to the recognition of the stewardship of the IPs and LCs in recognition of their land and territorial rights in KMGBF.
🌎 Agency, Knowledge and care is significant to the stewardship model of these communities
