🚨 DOA5LR-Salons 0.3.10 is out: UPDATE NOW, this one fixes invites 🔧
You know the bug: a friend accepts your invite, enters your room... then gets kicked back out after ~30 seconds. And nobody can get in until the room is recreated.
We found the real cause: when a room is created, the game stores its encryption key in the Steam room data as text. In about 1 room in 11 a random byte is 0, Steam cuts the key, and players who join get a broken one. Private or public, invite or room list: same result.
✅ The new DOA5LR-JoinFix repairs the key before your room goes online. Tested in real matches: a room that would have been broken, repaired, friend joined right away.
⚠️ The repair is done by the game of whoever CREATES the room: once the host is on 0.3.10, everyone can join, even players still on an older version. Everyone hosts rooms at some point, so everyone MUST update. Tell your friends!
🎁 Bonus: F7 = copy your room link
Private rooms have no "Join game" button on Steam. In your room, press F7 (beep) and your link is copied, like this:

Paste it on Discord: your friends click it with the game open and land straight in your room.

This update brings more control over your setup, a clearer launch flow and easier bug reporting.
KEYBOARD REMAPPING
Choose your own keyboard bindings, save your layout and launch through Steam from the new English Keyboard / controller app. You can reset the native layout or use the arrow-key preset as a starting point.
CHOOSE BEFORE YOU PLAY
The DOA5LR (Lobby Mods) desktop shortcut opens configuration first. Choose Keyboard or Controller, then launch when you are ready. Starting directly through Steam uses your last applied settings.
OPTIONAL BY DEFAULT
Experimental in-game remapping is OFF by default. The settings app stays available, and new installations keep the usual Controller configuration. You can enable remapping when you need it; updates preserve your saved choices.
CONTROLLER FINDER
Inspect connected controllers, arcade sticks and leverless devices. Search by name or VID/PID and see which local profiles are available. A portable app is included as a separate download for compatible installations.
UPDATE NOTIFICATIONS
UpdateCheck 1.1 adds a short in-game banner when a newer pack is detected, visible in borderless/windowed mode. The installer opens after you leave the game, and you decide whether to update. Nothing is installed during a match.
LOGS AND SUPPORT
The new Logs menu opens existing journals and can export a local diagnostics ZIP to help explain a problem. Nothing is uploaded automatically: review the archive before sharing it, as logs may contain player or connection details.
SETTINGS AND BACKUPS
Installer 1.3.1 preserves personal INIs, component choices and input profiles, with backups for restoration. If an older installer offers its own update, accept that first. Use the installer for upgrades instead of overwriting your existing folders with ZIP contents.
Before choosing Keyboard mode, disconnect controllers: DOA5LR can ignore the keyboard if a controller is connected at startup. Controller Finder detection is not universal device support; only DualSense Edge has been tested on real controller hardware for this module. No PS5 emulation or zero-latency claim.
