📽️ #VisionsNordiques - French Nordic Film Days 💬 Opening speech by @gaetanbruel, President of the CNC: "There is a big difference between supporting a creation and supporting a creator. What I really liked about creating and animating a filmmakers residency (Villa Albertine) is that we stand alongside the filmmakers, not only for what they want to do but also for who they want to become. We should be focused not only on the next creations, but also on the journey of theses filmmakers as creators. And so, the challenge for me is really to see how we can reflect together both on the creative projects, downstream, and the creative processes that make them possible, upstream, as we say in France 'L'amont et l'aval de la création'. In short, it's not only you who have perhaps something to learn from this morning, it's really us, our institutions, who must constantly rethink the way in which we support you. And if we love cinema, if we love films, it means that we precisely believe in the power of movies to console, to transform. But again, it's always a good idea, if you really want to bring this conviction at a true level of power, to listen more carefully to those who make these movies and to those who support them." 👉 More information about Visions Nordiques - French Nordic Film Days: cnc.fr/web/en/visions-nordiq…
