It's funny, we've gone from a year of relative inactivity in 2022 to Caribbean jurisdictions scrambling to get privacy laws on the books or amend existing laws in 2023.

There aren't really any Caribbean countries that are members of Convention 108+, the international treaty on data protection.
This is really low-hanging fruit that would go some way towards advancing our collective and individual digital trade and development agendas.

So Jamaicans took 200,000 #Uber rides in its 1st year.
Say the avg cost/ride is a conservative J$500.
That means Jamaicans spent J$100,000,000.
That also means drivers earned J$75,000,000, since Uber's cut is about 25%.
