The IDMC has recommended that Aelis Farmaโs Phase 2b study of AEF0217 in people with Down syndrome continue as planned, without any modification to the protocol.

AEF0217 : The first patient first visitsย in our Phase 2B clinical trialย were completed in December 2025, marking the successfulย operational launch of the study. Today, screening and recruitment are actively underwayย across participating centres in Europe.

Thanks to a big collaborative effort, we have created a new tool to enhance mitochondrial function using DREADDS. This results in increased oxygen consumption and rescues cognitive deficits in cannabinoid- treated mice, and in Alzheimer and dementia models!
