Twenty-five years ago today, nearly 3,000 people were murdered in the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001. We honor the dead and remember the heroes who sacrificed so others could live.
For the Intelligence Community, remembrance is not ceremony. It is an obligation to confront the failures that preceded the attacks, break down institutional barriers, share what must be shared, act with urgency, and prevent the next attack on the homeland.

Whistleblowers play a critical role in protecting the integrity of our financial system. @USTreasury launched a new webpage that brings our whistleblower programs together in one place, making it easier to find information and navigate the reporting process.
Interagency collaboration is essential to effective oversight. This outcome reflects the impact of coordinated work between IC OIG investigators and @DOJCivil in upholding post-employment ethics across the Intelligence Community.

Yesterday, Michael A. Dillard, former ODNI Deputy Director of Facilities and retired Army Colonel, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexual abuse, aggravated sexual abuse, abusive sexual contact, and false statements. IC OIG supported the FBI investigation to ensure accountability and protect IC personnel.
Michael A. Dillard, 63, of Stafford, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexually abusing two women at an intelligence conference.
