Such an overlooked but hugely significant area of 'lost' money in education. That's £500k back into helping the most disadvantaged. Thank you!
Proud to see @coopuk power supporting our @CoopAcademies and creating much needed savings to reinvest back into education. Cooperation at its best! coop.uk/3sJimaj
Really proud to see the work of our Science dept @coopfailsworth looking at #InternationalDayOfWomenAndGirlsInScience led by our superb Science leader Nicola Worth.
Had the privilege of seeing the @BroadhurstPS staff and students this week and was blown away by the diligence and thirst for learning. Well done to the leaders and staff for creating such a conducive atmosphere for learning in tough times.
Outstanding. Fantastic leadership from both @coopuk and MCC to step up when and where it is most needed.
🗣️Greater Manchester is joining @coopuk and @MarcusRashford to provide 1,000 food vouchers across the city-region to young people who may need access to a meal during half-term
📣The voucher provides free access to a meal deal offer in local Co-op stores

I really do agree with this piece.
I think there is something to be looked at re exam format but important to not conflate that discussion with current situation

Constantly reminded at the fantastic job our staff and leaders are doing right now in incredibly difficult situations @CoopAcademies
There's a lot of strong, and conflicting, opinions about process. I thinking the junction of the debate happens at the point population statistics (uncertainty, probabilities, accuracy) meets an individual's anecdotal outcomes. Unfortunately, for that person, it's all important.
Congratulations and well done to many of the @CoopAcademies Y13 students going on to the next chapter. Challenging times behind you and still more to come but you've shone through in the most difficult of difficult times.
I am now without any doubt whatsoever that bringing back exams has to be the only way this system can be fair going forward.
Brilliant stuff, great idea and very innovative! @principalbrice @CoopManchester

Great project and really nice blog post you put together. Great work all.
Lots of positive attention for @OakNational today, which I’m really grateful for. It’s important we don’t pretend it’s a panacea though. In that spirit, here’s what’s wrong with Oak National Academy: davidthomasblog.com/2020/04/…

Now cancel that brunch.
Postpone that coffee meet-up.
Rain check that dinner with friends.
Sucks doesn’t it? But not as hard as this 👇

From tomorrow, schools will be closed except for children of critical workers and the most vulnerable.
We must ensure NHS staff are able to access school places. Don’t take a place you don’t need.
Be responsible. Keep your kids at home.
