He didn’t hold back. šŸ‡¦šŸ‡ŗšŸ’¬ From across the ocean, this Australian gives a raw, unfiltered look at modern America. It’s a perspective most people are too afraid to say out loud, but it impacts all of us, no matter where we live. This is a global wake-up call. #USA #USAPolitics #AmericanCulture

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

ā€œwe will pay any price….to assure the success and survival of liberty.ā€ Is this still true? Do we prize liberty or do we prize power and purse? No more clear test than the choice between Ukraine and Russia. Abandon Ukraine and we abandon liberty. Eventually even our own.

America must stand with Ukraine, not the Russian war criminal, Vladimir Putin. Donald Trump’s decision to buy Russian gas and limit the sharing of critical intelligence with Ukraine is an abandonment of our ally and will cause more violence and bloodshed.

President Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Russian fuel amidst Putin’s ongoing and brutal attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine makes no sense and is a betrayal of the legacy and leadership of the late Senator Lindsey Graham. While Ukraine fights for its survival, Putin’s war machine continues to prosecute his terrorist war on civilian populations and innocent Ukrainians are dying every day. Now, Instead of implementing the tough sanctions Lindsey Graham fought to his last breath to enact, President Trump has announced the United States is lifting sanctions on Russian energy, fueling the Putin’s war machine. As I saw firsthand in Ukraine last month, Putin is losing this war. Ukraine has fought the Russian military to a standstill and reinvented warfare with drones taking the fight into the heart of Russia. America should not be throwing a lifeline to Putin’s war machine. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression as we did during the first Trump administration. Putin doesn’t want peace. Putin wants Ukraine. I have no doubt that if Putin overruns Ukraine, it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him. America is the Leader of the Free World. For our National Security, for the security of our Allies in Europe including Ukraine, President Trump should rescind this deal immediately and return to the strong policies of our four years in the White House; impose harsh sanctions on any nation purchasing Russian energy and work with our allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. And so here we are. This statement from Trump blows my mind. That a sitting president would not let any renovations to a public building go on unless he gets to first put his name in the said building… What a sad state of affairs. What a tragedy. Actually, how small minded, how narcissistic. Actually great men, devoted to public service and the public good do not act like this. It seems that this man will not rest until his name is permanently connected to the name of a great president, whose memory this building was dedicated to. Imagine spending your time and your days focused on this, as everyday Americans struggle with healthcare, gas prices, rent, and food. Imagine spending your days focused on this, while a war rages under your leadership. Enough said. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

As a major transfer portal roster shuffle begins in @basketballncaa we are reminded that @MAGovArchive Charlie Baker has not been able to rite the ship for the major college sports landscape. When will we have a return to sanity and common sense? #ncaahoops

Cheat sheet for Santa Clara’s ā€œRuff Ridersā€ student section tonight. They naturally take a crack at Graham Ike’s age: ā€œHere’s a list of things that have been shorter than Ike’s career: Vine’s entire lifespan. At this point Gonzaga isn’t his team. It’s his retirement community.ā€

America is not far from turning into an oligarchy. A few companies including @JeffBezos at @amazon donate hundreds of millions for Trumps makeover of our national monuments and buildings. They buy influence and we get to see the image of our supreme leader everywhere.

Bannon is evil
Bannon was originally arrested on Guo’s boat. Almost all of his recent ventures, especially targeting Trump fans. were funded by Guo. Guo was convicted of money laundering and fraud in 2024 and is awaiting sentencing.

I urge @realDonaldTrump to watch the Face the Nation interview with MarĆa Corina Machado. She’s a highly intelligent leader whose mission is to bring democracy to Venezuela. If the U.S. truly believes in the good of democracy it must support free elections in Venezuela!

I think @Tim_Walz and the other Minnesota government officials have blood on their hands. Mr Walz has opening encouraged the pedestrian filming of ICE agents. This is completely irresponsible and I have not heard anyone telling people to stand down for their own safety.
