IGLs have one of the most thankless jobs in esports. Not just calling strats, constantly tracking tendencies, economy, tempo, spacing, your teammates mental state, and what the opponent is likely to do next. Not to say the useless comms from teammates asking "should I be holding here" 😂. The best IGLs are basically playing two rounds at once, the one happening on the server, and the one forming in their head. If you’re an IGL, you’re a hero. And you’re probably going bald.
