Dear all, calling someone a pedophile online is okay. According to @X. No libel here. Nope. It's A okay. You're welcome. PS in the interests of clarity I'm being sarcastic. @elonmusk

I'd forgotten why I so rarely use social media. It's basically just people (or bots!) shouting at people (or bots!). It does not bring out the best in me 🤣🤣🤣 great inspiration for a blog post though. Oh, cue to shameless plug for my real home... mvcthenextchapter.com

My well off friends do this and I completely agree with this....
I own a small business. I have been approached by mums asking for jobs for their older teenagers. There are always parents on local FB groups asking the same. If your mum is the one looking for a job for you you are not what an employers looking for.

I've never agreed with the death penalty. I don't understand it on two levels, firstly, it's still murder, secondly depending on what happens after we die it doesn't necessarily punish. So why do it? I don't get it.

As a writer and DA and poverty survivor, still working on getting there, this gives me great hope. ❤️
J.K. Rowling went from just under £70 Income Support a week to £975 Million Fortune. In 1993 she came back to Edinburgh a single mother, with a baby, two suitcases, and income support. She wrote the first Harry Potter book in a small flat and in cafes while her daughter slept in a pram. Philosopher’s Stone was published in 1997 after publisher after publisher said no. The series has sold more than 600 million copies. Forbes now puts her worth at £975 Million, after she has given away more than Million, much of it to women leaving abuse and to single parents. The rise is almost unbelievable. She will be remembered for more than the books. She spent her own money, and a great deal of her reputation, arguing that women are entitled to single-sex spaces, fair sport, and language that names them. Plenty of people with less to lose stayed quiet. She did not. That is the part that will outlast the fortune. 👏💪🙏

Lol I'm so sorry but this did make me chuckle. Real world back story, when working in community services some years ago, knowing clients had no energy bills and received more in benefits than staff wages, their phones beeping with the DWP 'your extra energy payment is on its way', well it stung a little.
URGENT APPEAL This Christmas we're asking people on benefits to donate £10 per month to help the working families across the UK.

When I'm very very old and forget, will someone please remind me to do one of these? Cheers. Oh, mine will read 'drop an E'. Xx
Oh wow… not a single one mentioned anything about work. Now excuse me while I ball my eyes out.

I’ve signed this petition and urge you to sign it too if you agree. Petition: Reduce the state pension age to 65 for all Reduce the state pension age to 65. We believe this could mean people can retire with dignity and avoid hardship. We also think it could free up jobs for younger workers entering the labour market. petition.parliament.uk/petit…

This is very inspiring. See my previous post. We have to take personal responsibility and hold ourselves accountable. For everything.

The social care company I worked for at the time @crtvspprt paid SERVICE USERS that's vulnerable folks with all sorts of conditions, 20 quid to have it, and staff 200 (I think might have been 250 total) to have it. That did not surprise me. What did surprise me was the blind compliance of managers and staff to a policy that was highly legally questionable.
