با نزدیک شدن زمستان، کمبود گاز و مصرف سوخت‌های آلاینده‌تر می‌تواند نفس کشیدن را برای مردم ایران دشوارتر کند. جنگ این خطر را افزایش داده، اما ریشه‌های بحران به دهه‌ها سیاست‌گذاری جمهوری اسلامی بازمی‌گردد.

اکنون مردم ایران در آستانه زمستان با مصائبی روبه‌رو هستند که سال‌ها فرصت برای پیشگیری از آن‌ها از دست رفته و جبرانش با راهکارهای کوتاه‌مدت ممکن نیست.
As winter approaches, gas shortages and dirtier fuels could make Iran’s air even more dangerous to breathe. War has heightened this risk, but the crisis is rooted in decades of policies under the Islamic Republic.
In his latest Washington Examiner article, Iran Prosperity Project author Mohammad Nayeb Yazdi argues that this pollution is the result of a system of governance that has persisted with harmful policies despite knowing their consequences for public health. Iranians now face a winter shaped by years of missed opportunities to prevent this crisis, with no short-term fix for the damage done.
