The reason that Jirachi SIR was so important is that Jirachi is known as the Wish Pokémon. In one of its Pokédex entries, it is said it spends most of its life hibernating and will wake once every thousand years to grant any true wish. It doesn't wake up for just anyone, but will wake up from its slumber if sung to by a voice of pure heart—like a child.

The speed at which he’s getting BIG wins for NYC residents is remarkable. But its also infuriating. Because why on Earth is this man able to accomplish ALL of this in such a short period, while the elected politicians before him continued to tell us they couldnt get things done??
